It is hard for a D to play with fire when you drill it in to them to bend don't break. Seattle plays with fire cause they are told to attacks even when playing zone.

Once your D gets use to being on its heels it is hard to get that fire.

If Chung doesn't blow the zone, it all works out rather well.

But he did and Wilson had 7 seconds in the pocket to recognize it. So it was a terrible call.

I still think this Seattle defense is fundamentally a better defense than Denver, as great as both defenses are.

I've said it before. Seattle's defense is the most well-balanced in the NFL. Denver's susceptible to the rush this year. Seattle is not as overwhelming as Denver is in the pass game, but they don't have any clear-cut weakness.

I can't stand the journalists who like to talk like fans aren't allowed to express frustration (see Twitter feed on the right of the site). I get emotional about my team. But, I also expect my team to pull it together and win. They'll right the ship. I'm just fired up at the moment.

If they want to play zone, fine, but at least narrow the gab a bit. Jeez they're giving them a 20 yrd window!!!!. "Let them catch, tackle". ????. This scheme works most of the time, but it's killing my heart.

Geez, brutal half of D especially coming off a bye. It's been debated but clearly we have issues there, glad it's finally being exposed in this game and not later on. There's still lots of time to fix it.

Bend but don't break is not going to work come playoff time, especially if you face a team like Seattle / NYG / Denver who can knock Brady off his game. Can't let Brady sit on the sidelines that long in those situations. In the 3 titles we won from 2001 - 2004, in 9 playoff games we allowed ZERO points on the first drive. Nowadays we come out with the soft zone and let the other team hold the ball 6 minutes plus. Brady did great against seattle in SB49 thanks in large part to the # of 3 and outs we forced defensively. They may have given up 24 but they got Brady the ball back consistently quick and eventually he found his groove.
If you're up double digits maybe it words to your favor but we need to get more aggressive.

Nah. It was a blown handoff in zone. You can clearly see Ryan handing him off to Chung but he is just out of position. That really should not happen.

Why was it a blown hand-off.. Because they weren't paying attention..
