No I'm not going to pin anything on him. Our defense was flat out ****. Trading Collins for a pick we could have got in the offseason was the proverbial self inflicted wound.
God, this defense sucks. They're awful. Getting beat this badly at the LOS by the worst OL in the league means we have to have a serious conversation about whether our d-line is terrible or merely bad.
I think it might be a case of "brain lock." They seem wedded to the idea that contain >>>> pass rush with a mobile QB. If/when the pass rush doesn't get there, the QB has time, and eventually someone gets open. It's just the way it works.
