PATRIOTS NEWS OFFICIAL: Patriots Finally Acquire AJ Brown

Breaking New England Patriots Team News
In 4 years your MVP level QB is no longer cost controlled and the Patriots will have to back up the Brinks truck to keep him. That doesn't sound like an ideal plan.

This move opens the championship window now.
That is why I have unlimited responses right now. Because homers think I am shattering their championship window. I am not doing anything other than post on an Internet message board

I do agree that Brown's '26 and '27 cap hits makes this deal unique, and enhance its value. It is a hail mary trade, but it will not sink the rebuild if it goes bad.

Or a Cole Strange, Isaiah Wynn, NKeal Harry, Malcom Brown, Dominique Easley.

All guys who would have certainly been better to help improve the QB you’re hoping is the franchise for the origination the next 12-15 years
Huh?

Boy that Diana Russini has her finger on the pulse of the Patriots.

Hmmm, expensive but now I am psyched for the Seattle game.

Your shtick is like a 13 year old Michael Felger.

They needed a number one receiver. You need your hopefully future QB to have more weapons to improve. If you think they could have found a better receiver for less I’d love to know the path they could have taken.
Another attacking immature response. Too bad you can't respect an opposing opinion.

Curious what you would have considers fair compensation
2nd round is the max I would have offered
for a receiver who will be 29 when the season starts

We got 30 year old Randy Moss for a 3rd & AJ Brown is no Randy Moss

Roseman is a top GM in the whole NFL. Maybe you are not aware of that. Roseman has all of the insider medical information. He is dumping Brown with a huge cap hit in '26 and '27 after paying a huge price to trade for Brown two years ago. Have you asked yourself why?

That's not the only reason a player gets traded, even for Roseman. If a player isn't happy, AND they're a big name like Brown? That can be a huge locker room distraction. Could've been as simple as that and seeing the cap being freed up as an opportunity to invest in something that makes more sense with their current setup.

I don't love the price either, but it isn't unexpected, nor is it selling the farm. If the Patriots are disaster come 2028/2029, it will be far more than this one decision :/

FINALLY!! June 1, 2026 “A.J.-Day” has arrived!

Cool and if they wouldn’t have traded him to you for a second are you comfortable with a Boutte/Doubs top tier duo going into next season? Because that sounds like a major step back

Pay the guy. We complain about not developing guys and we have one. Don't cheap out
No thanks.

We have what? A 4th receiver that will be stuck behind AJ Brown? That’s why you have Kyle Williams.

Doesn’t make sense to pay 10+M for guy who will barely see the field.

Boutte will be traded. He wants to get paid. He won’t be paid if his role is AJ Brown’s back up

Those were first round draft picks, try to keep up.
Oh I’m keeping up, I’m hurt trying to figure out why you think they would be better for this team than AJ Brown, which is what you said.

So you’re not keeping up? Damn dude. It’s pretty easy.

Are the Patriots better next season with AJ Brown or with a first round pick two years from now?

The best 3 WRs on this team are Brown, Doubs, Boutte. Why would you trade him with a cap number under $4 mill?

Best day in my Patriots life since we drafted Maye!
