Bryce Ford Wheaton has the measurables.
He does but I see him in a air raid type offense that prioritizes stretching the field. Maybe we want him for that role? I hope not bc along with White I just took him off my board a day before the draft lol.

I mean even if they take a guy or two that might develop or they want to redshirt like they did with Berrios when he got the Foxboro Flu at least you would have a guy who went through a camp with you and has had the playbook for a year. Better than going into next year with another couple free agents and rookies at receiver.
If you see someone who is faster or a better route runner than Nixon or Bowden, then of course you take them. But otherwise, they are projected developmental so it makes sense to wait. I absolutely expect that the 2 guards and the center just drafted are on the 53 man roster. They are moving out Ferentz, he's gone, and maybe Russey is gone too.

If Mafi was a great prospect like Andrews and Sow were it wouldn’t bother me, he’s not.

He’s more like Stueber and Hines…. big but not strong or athletic. What a waste.

One of the biggest traits about Mafi that is talked about is his strength. How is he not "strong"? I'd agree with you if he only put up 7-10 reps on the bench, but he put up 21.

This is how I look at the WR situation. No one from the 4th round on has measurables that are better than Lynn Bowden and Tre Nixon. So taking a WR in the 4th round accomplishes very little since you're not going to give them a roster spot. If they take a WR, it will be with the expectation they are going on the practice squad. Otherwise it's a waste of space on the roster.
Nice copium there.

It's pretty obvious BB is giving Mac Jones the middle finger with this draft.

What did we really do in terms of offense it was all free agency - We replaced Jakobi Meyers with JuJu Schuster-Smith, and replaced Jhonnu Smith with Gesicki. That's called treading water. Meanwhile the #30th ranked offense in the NFL and 32nd red zone offense got ZERO new weapons to help score more touchdowns.

Yup might as well GIVE UP on improving the offense through the draft. That's also called leaving your QB hung out to dry.

I'm not the biggest Mac Jones fan after his poor 2022, but at least give the kid a fighting chance. At this point it looks like BB is intentionally sabotaging Mac Jones.

Our best pick of day 3 might end up being the Kicker if he doesn't get cut in camp because he can't beat out our already established veteran kicker Nick Folk. News flash - BB might love ST but that's not going to win you a lot of football games if you're kicking field goals instead of scoring touchdowns!

He benched it 21 times, he’s big but not athletic or overly strong.

I said the same about Stueber and Hines last draft and people argued I was wrong… Kody Russey was better than either of them.
There is video out there of him squatting 600x3. Great lower body strength

Underwhelming day…see you all in training camp.

Just a couple of thoughts:

We believe a punter will be taken but does Bill really want to break in a rookie PK and P at the same time?

2 Gs and a C taken in spots that likely earn them a spot on the 53. Could Onwenu become the centerpiece in a trade for a WR?

Strange to LT
Trent at LT, Strange at LG, Andrews at center of healthy, Onwenu at RG and Anderson will probably play RT because Reiff can’t stay healthy.

These kids will have to come in and compete. If by the end of camp and preseason they have a glut of lineman expect Onwenu to be traded for a high pick and Andrews at C might retire.

The depth inside was almost non existsent. Not complaining.
Lol so last year's late round interior lineman didn't count as depth but this year's late round interior linemen will?

It's plain as day that you have fallen for all the Patriot radio insanity

Come on!

Name the dang WR you wanted instead of Gonzalez and Keion White so that I can explain to you why you're wrong

People confuse size with strength, I don’t deny he’s big.

This argument makes no sense. I do not watch thousands of hours of tape yet I said they should pick LanarJackson over Sony Michelle, Jaylen Hurts over Duggar, Deebo Samuel over Harry and Pickens over Thornton. I certainly would not have picked Rohrweisser

Maybe they are wasting money on the scouts. I think amateurs could do better

They overthink it
Seems like you need to submit your resume to NFL teams. I'm sure they would jump all over someone with your insights.

Mafi is the best of all three of them in my opinion.

No offense, but I'm not sure how you could watch him and come to the conclusion that he's not strong? He straight out flattens people. The knock on him is that he's slow and doesn't have great instincts, but he's far more powerful than Sow or Andrews.
I'd be surprised if he really watched anyone on A22 if we're being honest. I just don't get "film grinder" from reading his post.

Not confusing Size with Strength. 21 on the BP is decent. Someone mentioned his leg strength as well.
