how is a big guy like Blount so bad on short yardage?

As big as he is, he isn't explosive at all. Needs 4-5 steps to build up momentum. If he gets hit in the backfield, he's pretty easily neutralized.

I'd have to look at it but 5 is on Revis and another chunk is someone else. Can't remember. Then small amount 1-2 mil here and there.

Because he keeps his center of gravity too high, he practically stands straight up on short yardage. Hate it.

Why?!? What a waste of a time out that they might need. I guess they are hoping the Giants may use their time outs on defense.

I feel that it bears mentioning in this thread that the Giants are the 3rd ranked scoring offense in the NFL. The Pats are missing their best and most important defender. The only points they have given up prior to this field goal were from a broken play. Their offense is starting CFL guys at this point. Just as a PSA the defense does not, by any means, suck. Today nor this season as a whole.

Don't forget the refs, allowing strangle holds on our D. That helps too
