Chiefs sign Geoff Schwartz, formerly of the Vikes.

Nice pick up that, proper mauler in the run game.

EDIT: Actually it appears I may have jumped the gun with that one.

If he signs though, that will really put the cat amongst the pigeons for the #1 pick.....

Giants bringing in Louis Murphy for a visit. I advocated for him here a while ago. I still would take a flyer on him.

Free agent DE Dwight Freeney is visiting the Patriots Friday.

RT @var78: Hey mr schefter any news Aqib Talib yet? ... When all is said and done, whenever that is, I believe he returns to New England.

NFL Network's Akbar Gbaja-Biamila says the 49ers are in "serious discussions" with both free agent CB Nnamdi Asomugha and free agent S Charles Woodson.

Nice when your QB is on a cheap rookie contract. Them and Seattle both, and Seattle has Sherman on the cheap as well.

Bit surprising, but I guess everyone wants a big TE these days:

Restricted free agent tight end Dennis Pitta has been getting preliminary inquiries from more than one team, according to league sources.

That's a Britishism, I think, that hasn't made it to this side of the pond. Care to explain?

I still see a team with very few viable wide receivers and cornerbacks.

Also, visits mean nothing until the player is signed.

Yep like Goldson 2 years ago who also visited the Pats and signed with the 49ers again.

Btw Nnamdi Asomougha will be 32 when the season starts. I didn't know that he is that old already. Given his last years it's really quite a gamble that only few very good teams can take.

49ers in serious talks with woodson and nnamdi...they are going to be good

Arizona Cardinals cut Kevin Kolb. I think he can be good on a team with an offensive line that can actually block.

I've seen the Jets connected to him. Poor bastard...

Amazing how many guys would be an upgrade to Sanchez. Too bad they're contract/cap hamstrung.

Will be real easy for Patriots to front-load an offer sheet for RFA Emmanuel Sanders. If PITT can't match, it would get NE's 3rd-rd pick.

Wonder if real possibility

Report is Reed to the Texans is not a lock and is 50-50 at best.

but we have wilson in building...so wonder how that effects that...will they let him walk without a contract offer?
