Brady to Gronk on 4th down was reminiscent of Bledsoe to Coates on 4th down in '96.
Unfortunately, the final finish was reminiscent of another Pats/Giants game
It's sad the Pats D couldn't hold late. They played such a good game for 3 quarters and kept them in the game to allow the Pats to overcome 4 turnovers and take a dramatic late lead.
Arrington had good positioning on the PI and TD, but simply didn't turn around both times. Reminded me of McCourty early last year before he started looking for the ball and had that great season. Can Arrington "get it" like McCourty did?
Sergio Brown...oof!
Pats have 3 games this year with 4 turnovers. They are 1-2 and a hair from 0-3...and 3-0. And it was the *lack* of turnovers vs. Pittsburgh that kept them in an otherwise lopsided affair. Captain Obvious states that turnovers are huge, but these games have been a reminder of how they help games get away (or lack of them help keep you in the hunt).
I think they have a good chance vs. NY next Sunday night. They should be able to run the ball on that Jets front that is not as good as years past. On D, they should be able to keep the running game and Sanchez in check. As long as they don't let Dustin Keller kill them underneath, I cannot see the Jets keeping sustained drives without shooting themselves in the foot and/or having to settle for FGs instead of TDs.
Regards,
Chris
