Beating the bad teams convincingly and getting to around .500 would at least be a good start to year 1 of rebuilding to a consistent playoff contender.
You can't sell progress when you're winning 6 games or less, it's also important for Drake to start winning games you don't see many QBs put up multiple bad losing seasons who go on to have good careers you want to get out of the habit of losing every week by your second year.
