Not much to be done on that Fitzgerald catch unfortunately, just a great throw and spectacular catch.that's when a great D has to step it up..at least hold to 3
I can't really get too upset with what happens. I feel like we are playing with house money. This isn't a game we are expected to win. Winning would be amazing, but I'm just happy they are making a contest out of this. No one knew what to expect. I'm pleased that they have the lead.
I don't think I've seen Belichick speak tonight.
Winning...on the road...against a playoff-caliber team...without the two best offensive players on the team...an OL full of players no one is sure should be in the NFL...and a QB making his first ever NFL start. This is kinda how these games are gonna go.
Anyone here who wouldn't have taken a 17-14 lead approaching the end of the 3rd quarter?
In Cincinnati a few years ago? The game we lost when TFB tried to mount a late comeback just as a freaking monsoon hit the stadium. Just a guess, though. In fairness tho....when is the last time Blount fumbled?! Anyone know?!
I've always been a fan.sure...go back in the thread a

Very conservative by McD....expected that obviously but not to the point...where u are trying not to lose the game...rather than going at them to win...Too much predictable runnin play calls allows the Cardinal D to stack the line forcing that TO. C'mon Josh call me smart
On opening night, primetime too.Right? The fact that they are going toe-to-toe without their star QB, LT and TE, ON THE ROAD, against an NFC Final 4 member...speaks volumes IMO.
but d%#*!@t I want games like the first 10 games of 07!!!!Pats fans are just too used to big leads and easy wins... sometimes **** happens and close games occur. We should be happy that the Pats are still up 3 going into nearly the 4th quarter against a team of Arizona's caliber with Jimmy G under center in his first ever start...
Okay, but I still don't buy it completely when his biggest games have been against teams that normally struggle against the run. If he were as good as you all say, why did he not receive a single offer on the open market in the offseason and only two the last time he hit FA? His off the field stuff has not been that bad in the NFL? I'm just refusing to be a prisoners of tonight when I've seen many more sub par performances, and I like Blount.
But other RBs also do it against top comp is my point.
He's averaging 4 yds per carry tonight ... smarten up.I think Blount just lost the one good thing Bill kept him around for... good ball security. Fumbles happen, but when you are average at best and fumble then what good are you.
