I stand by my first thoughts on what Cam said to that reporter: that he meant it’s funny how far women have come with regards to understanding football.
That’s a true statement. I’m always surprised when I hear women TALK football. Like, it’s a legit turn on.
The only reason I think he’s apologizing is because people took it the other way: that women don’t know anything about sports.
And we have some salty posters here jumping on him because he kicked our ass a few days ago... come on it’s not that deep people.
The defense looks quicker to the ball and more disciplined in their lanes tonite. The secondary is benefitting from Winston not seeing the coverage. The game plan seems better on the defensive side of the ball.
Keep em, extend the season a week and don’t have teams play before and after Thursday night football. You’d essentially get a mini bye in addition to your standard bye week. Space em out so teams get their byes weeks apart so the late bye week teams get TNF early in the season and vice versa.
Well I was really looking forward to pissing on Cam Newton's so called apology. But I was disappointed when he came across as sincere. He didn't read from a script some PR flack gave him. I really liked when is said to people not to be like him, but be BETTER than him, because that WAS the correct message.
I'm sure he will continue to get killed for his misstatement. It was misogynistic. I think though he now knows the power of his own words. But it's not surprising. The leader of our country is a misogynist. Why should we expect anything else.
