1. Obviously a horrible decision by Brady. That has to rank up there with his worst. It was just the sack, which was bad enough. He seemed to think they had a time out or something because he could have gotten up and possible gotten a play off. He didn't seem to even understand that.
2. They need to bring a consultant in for their passing game inside the five yard line. It has to be the worst in the NFL over the last two years. They don't even attempt to throw to Gordon either. Josh absolutely sucks at schemes in this area. I was hoping they'd run it twice with Michel and take their chances with 14 seconds left. It's really pitiful.
Our front got dominated on the drives where Miami scored and dominated Miami on the three stops. Players getting blocked out of their run lanes way too easily. Below average performance from them that is mostly boom or bust.
The offense looked amazing and was moving down the field well until Brady's brain fart at the end. Tom will remember that and I'd rather this **** happens in Miami in a game we most probably still end up winning than in the playoffs.
Special teams absolutely amazing.
Overall the positives far outweigh the negatives. Seeing a vintage Brady and Edelman performance with Gronk sprinkled in is exactly the thing I was hoping to see.
What's Brady going to say in the presser after the game. It may be the dumbest play of his career. And it wasted another huge effort from special teams.
We gave the Dolphins 4 points as outright gifts in the first half.
Ultimately can’t blame Josh there but we could have been a bit more creative with bunch formations there. Having to rely on Hogan, Gordon and Gronk to make quick moves to get open is asking for trouble
The play calling at the end of the half was horrible. It wasn't helped by Brady's brainfart or the holding in the EZ by the Dolphins CB that went uncalled, but you still have to do something other than run the same play and formation 2 out of 3 times..
Just awful, had a chance to go up by two scores, first and goal and a pass doesn’t even touch a receivers hands, two throw always and then an awful sack.
Just bad situational football, something we have said waaay too many times this season!!!
Despite that horrible sequence, our defense did make two consecutive stops to end the half. If that keeps up , that could HOPEFULLY be the bigger story here
That's on Brady totally. He has had a fantastic first half of production, but those last 2 plays leave a sour taste in one's mouth. He totally misses a WIDE open Hogan (and yeah , I know he had some pressure, but please....), and then has a complete brain fart on the last play of the half. Oh my.
Not even Tom can have a bad play around here. I thought it was funny. So many of you are acting like someone died. Is it ideal? Of course not. Will we still win the game? Yeah, probably. Relax, y'all. Enjoy life a bit. Learn to laugh at something like that. Even the greats sometimes have a mental lapse.
There's a formula to deal with the Patriots in goal situations this year. Hit White at the line, bracket Gronk, blitz. Brady's been bad against the blitz this year, especially when he doesn't have White to fall back on.
They need to have Patterson in because he threatens those bubble screen or jet sweep plays, though arguably they couldn't run them there because of the clock.
