Surely Belichick & McDaniels envisioned Cooks being much more than just a speedy deep threat. He's been great at that throughout the year (when Brady has the time), but I'd like to see him involved more in other areas.
1. If Dwayne Allen is going to have an impact in the game, it will have to be in the 2nd half..

2. Cooks' only contribution in the first half was his flop on the PI. He's been take out of this game by some very good tight physical man coverage. That was one of the takes out of NO before he came. He can be taken out by tight physical coverage.
3 The Pats need to great some space for him through motions or formations. He's not going to free up simply out playing y or z
4. If I see Roberts on Drake one on one outside again, I'm going to burst a blood vessel. I saw it twice and saw 2 completions. one for a big gain another for a 15 yd first down. I do NOT want to see it again.
5. Other than that the defense has gotten a bit better, but there will be no rush unless its manufactured. We saw 2 S blitzes that worked, or should have worked. Other than that pressures have been few and far between. Need to see some DL stunts on the 4 man rush
6. Game is clearly there for the taking the long the Dolphins are in the game the more the tougher out they will become. Ideally we can get a score, turnover and score to start the half. The defense is clearly getting better at recognizing what they Phins are doing. Now they just have to execute better
They actually do better in the warmer months of Sept and Oct. As another poster pointed out, the later months is where you see the biggest difference in temperature from home to Miami, so I’m guessing that you’re right and that has a big part of it.
I also think divisional games are tough, particularly on the road, and especially during such a rare streak of away games. I don’t believe they’ve gone 6-0 in the division under BB more than a couple/few times, yet everyone automatically assumes wins versus these “bad” teams.
Not gonna blame Cooks when we are doing nothing tonight to get the ball down the field. I’m fairly convinced we are seeing these game plans due to the success of the run game and to keep Toms exposure down.
