Jones did trust to throw it to Meyers and wanted to avoid the defender by throwing it over him. The problem was he didn’t give Meyers enough time to move back after motioning to him. Should have held onto the ball for an extra beat.

Pass rusher was right on him, unfortunately.

I have no problem with a lot of our playcalling but we showed earlier in the season that we are bad on short yardage play designs. Mac had to improvise on a 4th down conversion earlier in the year but that one was successful. You shouldn't have to play backyard football on 4th down.

Def should've taken the points there. All in all such a disappointing effort , usually after a loss we are pretty locked in but we're clearly not that team anymore. Still taking awful penalties, turnovers, poor playcalls at the worst times, anti-clutch. It's a total lack of character with the team, this starts up top

Exactly. When you call a play, you take into account what sort of qb you have. We have a guy who's, what? 2 and 8 in his last ten starts? This was a time to show one sort of run, then go with another.
