Our offense is so disgustingly pathetic. Being up against that stacked D should’ve been an easy quick hit/big play. Josh is going to be going into this offseason looking just as bad as Cam imo.
Consistently this year he’s been better at downfield passes. The Rams game, Seattle etc. It’s a fallacy to think being mediocre at short passes means you are bad at long passes. They are two different skill sets. Cam is used to being a run threat and having spy’s on him and the defense stacking things up front so he is more comfortable finding a soft spot downfield. Throwing short has a lot more moving pieces and requires more precision and tight window throwing to be a effective. Tom Brady was a master at it and he’s not here. This offense always stalls out when they try to get cute and do that.
Imagin if we had an OC who called plays that actually worked? Every time when it’s 3rd and long he refuses to call a pass play where the pass covers the amount needed.....always a one yard dump off!
Flores has coached the Fins pretty well. He knows exactly what we are not good at. Doing a good job stretching the game horizontally, having Smythe attack Hall in open space.
