There's a lot of recency bias here.

Zappe has looked better than Mac this year.

But Mac had an excellent year for a rookie last year and looked as good as Zappe has so far.

Let the competition begin. But you look at several of Mac's games from last year, and they are up there with this, are they not?

Agreed completely. The "controversy" stuff is nonsense. But there MUST be a legit, honest competition, and THIS year (the year in which are playing the games, after all), Zappe is clearly winning that competition. That doesn't settle the matter, but it's a d-----d salient fact.
