Separation isn’t one of the criteria to draft WRs in our sh-tty draft metrics developed by McDaniels 15 yrs ago. We hyper focus on 3 cone not actual separation in games.
In an ideal world you'd have a #1 receiver, healthy Edelman as #2 and Meyers as #3 where he'd be great in that role. As it stands he's asked to be the #1 receiver which just isn't his role.
meyers is a legit #1 or #2 already on a championship offense. The only other Patriot receivers to produce like this kid has done, are all in the Patriot Hall of Fame.

I think he can be a good complimentary guy but if he is matching up against number one corners he will struggle. I think his ceiling is a number 2 and for a converted QB undrafted free agent I think that is not a bad thing at all.
Against the Jets. Let’s pump the brakes on Meyers. Sheesh. He’s a nice player and certainly not a #1 and probably not a #2. He’s looked good with zero other good weapons. I’m not saying get rid of him, because he’s a nice piece, but my Lord he is not even close to a #1.
