They have targeted and tried to get Sanu specifically for this role for 4 years. Go check out Sanu's routes this year, Meyers and whatever slice of the offense he knows by now is no match to Sanu's experience and talent in the slot.
Sanu also played in the Kyle Shanahan system which is very similar to what the Patriots run. Similar nomenclature, similar concepts. And... he played with Steve at Rutgers....
