The answer is Bill totally misread the situation. He probably thought Brady would put up with the same old and over reached on a belief that they had some worthwhile offensive group that you could scheme correctly. People don’t really understand how much of a master Brady was at post snap reads and how he basically adjusted everything to set up a win for the offense
I don't know if there is any OC in the NFL ever who can scheme their way out of a QB who consistently under throws open receivers.that also comes back to cam… He is the one checking down and deciding which throw he’s going to make… Unfortunately keeps going to the guy who’s 5 yards short plus of the first down marker
