Thompson signed with the Bills last October after a tryout with the Pats. So, y'know, thank gawd we don't have to face him anymore!

I still have to click on the main link, to get to your useless post. Why did ou feel the need to post about an Osweiler visit, not even a signing?

The site does not have a “you won’t give a sh*t about this not relevant in any way to the Patriots post so don’t bother clicking on the main link” feature.

The thread title says you're wrong. You're also being an ass. It's news - Free Agent News - that is as important as JPP going to Tampa, because guess what, if Ostweiler becomes the Dolphins backup QB, the chances of the Pats seeing him are better than them seeing the Bucs.

You're just making yourself look worse now.

Agreed. Clearly someone does not understand the Law of Holes, in spite of being a certain type of one.

Where are the reports of UFAs visiting the Patriots and Patriot UFAs
visiting other teams? No visits going on?

IMO I think the Tobin signing sealed Fleming's fate.

Harrison is a camp signing.

Branch is gone.

What I meant was that Branch is actually a UFA (I think), because it was an option bonus that that he had that the Pats declined (as opposed to the roster bonus that Marty had). So, veeeeryyy hypothetically, if some team were to sign him, he'd count for the Pats in the comp pick formula. Hypothetically.

Wasn't suggesting that Branch be re-signed. That door is closed.

Wha? Thought they were around $10m?

About $8M on the books, after the M. Flowers re-signing is included. Then, there's roughly $2.5M for the rookies and ~$6M to set aside for in-season expenses.

Effectively, they'll likely need to create (or perhaps have already created) more cap space to sign Waddle and still be able to handle the other budgeted expenses.

I was going to start a thread about possibly trading Gronk. If he truly wants to retire or is just unhappy not being “free” like Amendola, maybe trade him to the highest bidder. At this point with the injury history and now a possible locker room issue. He’s not worth the trouble or 12 mill a year, let someone else deal with it.

Please spare us that thread. He was injured for part of one game last year, and is by far the best player in the league at his position. He's well worth that money and also the trouble, as he causes none.

You know at first I was thinking you were being a whiny idiot, but now this is making sense to me. I too wish to live in a world in which all things all the time are curated specifically to my interests, even (nay, especially) if those things involve others and their input and interests. Not only is this very much doable, it's a virtuous thing to strive for. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go shout at my mom for making something for dinner last night that isn't my absolute favorite thing.
