Jason is a very experienced CB,not elite but solid. I saw him a few times in Browns last season and I was really impressed. Moreover 3 mln. Salary cap is like a bargain for a player like Jason. The price was also very friendly for us.

He was pretty consistent, until Gregg Williams showed up as DC with an entirely different scheme and made Shelton play out of position.

He had a disappointing rookie year, by his own admission. He had a better second season, after dropping 30 pounds. He had a down third season, which is the Williams year. That's his career.
