The issue is whether we want to pay Kendricks $8M (and $9m in 2019). The 6th shouldn't be an issue (or a 5th for that matter).

Still 16% less than you are paying DH (who I am saying I love his game) who has missed twice as many games. It's a need that has to be filled. A fast OLB who can cover and best, he's still young. He has to be an upgrade on Casillas? Yes? No?

The Patriots are up against the cap. They likely can't afford him just based on his contract alone. That doesn't include the draft pick they'd have to give up to get him. If you're asking me if I would like him on the team? Yeah, I would. He's a very good LB. But I don't think they can afford him right now.

IDK. He's only 25 ... 6'5"/260+ ... had decent testing numbers coming out of college.

He's unlikely to cost significantly more than a late-round/UDFA TE in terms of 90-man roster competition and is a possible Psquad candidate.

Kinda like Zenner at RB - a virtual UDFA, but with NFL experience. Nothing to get too excited or upset about.
