Lol, for some reason I don't think his reasoning is correct. Tom always looks pissed when he's serious. The first courtroom date where no victory was declared is not a place for high fives and smiles.

Yeah, I've been thinking about that the whole time. I could be the only one who believes this....I think losing a 1st round draft pick is worse than having Brady suspended for four games

I'm not saying it doesn't suck, but draft picks are usually gambles anyway. Even 1st round picks.

Don't think Berman liked nash answer that the commish basically does what he wants.

I can't see how he would. "Because Goodell can do whatever he wants" is not a good defense against "how do you respond to the accusation that Goodell does whatever he wants with no regard for due process?"

If the NFL's putting all of their eggs in that basket, after losing every case that they've gone to court with using that exact same argument, then that doesn't bode super well for them.

Ya saw someone else tweet that Brady remained "stoic" through the whole proceeding. So I doubt the way he looked coming out of that meeting is telling of anything.
