I am referring to an owner like Brady, which, if Kraft was true to his word and considered him like a son, an opportunity to be a part owner of the Pats would have been offered.

I have seen statements that him getting a slice of NEP ownership looks like a wink and handshake negotiation while a player and directly forbidden by NFL rules.

I'm always surprised at the small scale of the offseason team building phase. I always get into the hype that we're going to add a ton of free agents, and it's usually a pretty small handful per team. Then there's the draft, which maybe one or two of whom might be starters. Then there's the post draft free agent period, where they'll pick up a few more vets.

2002 for me. I remember how insufferable the Dolphins trolls were that year. They got real quiet after the Pats sent them packing in Week 17. ****ty season but I'm proud of how they finished. I'll always hate Brett Favre for many valid reasons but especially because the only two times the Brady-era Pats missed the playoffs it was because he couldn't beat Chad Pennington in Week 17 each time.

Well Vrabs said a lot of new faces a different looking roster .
Not seeing a ton of changes.

Defense is definitely better than last year already.

We are hitting the time where street free agents are starting to come to terms with the fact that they overvalued themselves. Some will cave and take a deal in the upcoming days or weeks in a second wave. The rest will kid themselves that their value will go up post draft where this cycle happens again where the player caves or waits til training camp and hopes for an injury to drive up their value.

This is one of those mega-threads that force us to skip posts if we don't get to it right away. I'm still trying to catch up but I'm getting close.

I was an AOLe back then. The worst fans I remember were the Rams fans. That made the Pats first SB win even sweeter, if that was possible.
