Pretty good RAS.

So why the 7th rd selection? I don't know anything about him but typically when workout warriors are drafted low it means they sucked on film or have character/motivation/coaching concerns.

T Marcus Bryant... not on my radar
He doesn't appear to be on anyone's radar. Not even listed as a prospect on mock sites or with espn

Clearly something is going on with Logan Brown.

You really think it will be that tough to beat out Lowe, one of the worst in the league?
Nope. I was just telling my wife that very thing.

Fifth-year senior with 42 career starts between SMU and Missouri. Bryant is a tall tackle whose upper-body strength and punch timing are critical in making up for his lack of natural knee-bend. He’s an average run blocker who might be able to reduce his run-block losses with fewer outside-zone reps. Bryant has the tools to provide pass protection in the NFL, but he needs to keep working on the consistency of his technique.

Strengths

  • Nice blend of size, length and athletic ability.
  • Powerful upper body mitigates his lack of bend.
  • Uses length to land and stay connected as a run blocker.
  • Good quickness in his initial slide steps to race out to the rusher.
  • Throws punch with good timing to alter the rusher’s plan.
  • Has the feet to mirror rushers up and around the arc.

Weaknesses

  • Strikes with his hands but doesn’t cinch-up and control defenders.
  • Tall pad level hinders ability getting to back-side and second-level cut-offs.
  • Below-average timing getting from one block to the next.
  • Lacks ideal instincts to recognize twist games in pass protection.
  • Below-average command with his hands and punch in pass pro.
  • Needs to eliminate excessive waist-bending and leaning.

Marcus Bryant is tough to grade, no work out, but he's large and long.

Would have preferred Logan Brown there.
Yeah but at the same time it's a late round pick, if he's just an okay depth piece on the line, that's actually needed. He's in a position where he doesn't need to be a world beater and if he doesn't pan out we don't sweat it too much. Kind of a house money pick to see if he can add anything to this position group

Watch the Steelers draft Restrepo here and he turns into a total stud. Just because

If you want to scout him, just go watch Membou film

Clearly something is going on with Logan Brown.

It was mentioned earlier that he has type one diabetes. That my guess. He also had to transfer to KS because of a fight with a former teammate. So maybe there’s more we don’t know

Marcus Bryant is the pick at #220. Was the starting left tackle for Missouri. 6'8, 318 lbs, 34.5" arms. No questions about size and arm length here. Should provide tackle depth and we can even develop him as a swing tackle for down the road.

With that kind of athleticism, how was he so hidden. Its not like he came from a small school. Very strange. Was he injured this past year and didn't play?

Is this the guy that played LT, pushing Membou to RT?
He was a four year, 3 as stud starter transfer from SMU so he had dibs on the LT to come to Mizzou.
