Real feel good game.
So fun to see a happy win.
OL looked so much better than it did all summer!

They needed a Gesicki drop going to the ground in the end zone, a freak batted ball on the goal line bouncing right to Jones, a fumble on a return - everything bounced their way all day. No Tee Higgins, Burrow's wrist, Chase rusty... The Bengals fumbles bounced right to Patriots; the Patriots fumble did as well.
They absolutely would have beat the spread - no chance Cincy was winning by 8 or 9 under this game. But any one of those fluky plays going the other way could have spelled a different outcome.

We weren't talking about the defense and special teams. Both of which were fantastic today, and way above expectations. Being able to run the ball against very loaded boxes in the 2nd half was also impressive.

We were talking, exclusively about pass protection, making everything you said completely pointless. So, good job outta you.

Ah, you win the thread game, great job, I didn't read everything.

Still did a better job and less pointless than your prediction though

Obviously that was a huge swing but we also had to force the fumble after that. And you're assuming we weren't up for the task to score again if we needed. We absolutely smashed it down their throat to close it out I think good chance we'd have scored again if we had to.

Jordan playing at least OK as our LG is a major plus.

Needing a 6th OL to support Okorafor/Lowe isn't much of a surprise. It is also good to see Wallace contributing.

It seems that we have one OL combination and scheme that works.
AVP used a 6th OL in cleveland pretty frequently, so I think it is just a part of his scheme rather than intentionally providing support to a specific OL. You are right though that it seems we have a scheme that works and once Maye is in and teams have to respect the pass that run game will be more deadly.

Just a PSA - the Patriots are actually, currently, the #1 seed in the AFC due to being 1-0, the win being against another AFC team, and then also having the highest strength-of-victory out of all teams who are also 1-0 in the AFC.

Edit: Nevermind... the data I was looking at hadn't updated fully. I think the #1 seed is actually the Chargers because they won by more, but the Pats would be the #2 seed.
Dude wtf is wrong with you. It's way too early to be talking playoff seeding. How about let's wait until later in the season before we start buying playoff tickets.

Week 3 should be when the playoff picture clears up.

Hooper and Henry are far from Gronk in the blocking department you kind of have to use tackle eligible in the obvious situations

You could definitely look at it that way, and I agree to a point, but we could also say they displayed great situational football when it mattered most? Which is something I don't think we've been able to say in a long time.

If the team is 2-2 or 3-1, that means J.B. is playing decently.

Why pull him?
Fair point. But just to get maye the experience.

But having looked at Bryce young experiment and the mental breakdown, we might be better advised to delay maye's entry as much as possible. Best case scenario is brissett playing lights out and getting us to postseason or just missing playoffs while helping build and solidify offensive line and the wide receivers.

First part I agree with, he's not accurate. He's not slow on his reads though, his reads are fine. KJ Osborn did a lot of screwing up the operation out there today. That, you'll see on the all-22.
It will be interesting to look at the first play in the 2nd half. Looked like a deep ball to Thornton and Brissett really blew it? First play of the half so it is hard to understand how Thornton or Brissett would have been confused.

I didn't like that call. Get a first down first then take that same shot.

1) 20-0 - Maye could play the Nick Foles role
2) Keion White: Canton
3) Mayo: Baby Goat
4) Rhamtastic
5) 1 sack for 1 yd lost
6) Happy for Jacoby doing Jacoby things like don't lose the game
7) Not much of this is rational, and I DON'T CARE!

It looked like it was the only route on the play, and it was designed just to heave it up to a spot, and it wasn't there (Thornton was doubled), so Brissett kind of threw it away. Interesting part was, Thornton did get separation, and an accurate throw would have been a big gain.

The problem is, taking a real deep shot is very, very difficult with this line, even with hard playaction, with how bad this line is at pass protection. We need to give Stevenson and Gibson both bigtime credit for their work in pass pro as well this week.

Finally the Patriots look like a professional football team again. Its been about three years.
Oh stop - I understand the hyperbole, but Pats had a couple of routs in '22.
