Well, good. They should've. You don't skip out on prospects like Maye just for offensive line help. What QB coming into the draft in 2025 is a better prospect than him? Get your QB first and fix the line later.
There’s a Drake Maye in every draft. Joe Alt or maybe Bowers were the right pick.

For sure he was. Brady was too. I don’t think anyone can reach that level of success without having some selfish personality quirk. But I will say that KRAFT has been over the top with his impugning of Belichick, and it really bounced back at him. And basically everything he says now sounds like drunken horseshit, as opposed to the drunken folksiness of the old days.
I miss my own drunken folksiness. Cheers!

Wait until it gets worse and the blame starts getting thrown around.
I’m all for firing Wolf yesterday. Once Mayo starts to realize his job could be on the line if they are 1-9 or 2-10, does he turn in Wolf? Kraft is publicly out there in support of Mayo and not do much with Wolf.
So far they all seem to get each others back but that's the fear with the power structure they set up.

I still think it's fairly soon but I'm certainly going to believe Reiss so probably not starting the practice window for at least a week or 2. On a brighter note we need those other guys too.
Agreed. Sow had his first game back so at least we have him back. KB is practicing so that's a great sign. Hope he plays Sunday.

Apparently... Mayo said on the radio "Jacoby is 100% our starter and that is how we will view it going forward"
I have no issue with Jacoby starting for the foreseeable future. I listened to Boomer Esiason this morning on weei and he agrees that it would be very risky starting Maye with our offensive line and he also mentioned how many responsibilities (line calls, audibles etc) a new QB has to learn. We are a 4 win team at best and I don't think starting Maye is going to improve our win total. Brady, Mahomes & Rodgers didn't play their first year and I think it helped their development. Sucks in the short term but it will be worth the wait if Maye becomes a top 10 QB.

Brissett is one tough SOB. Much respect for him. I'm sure the locker room respects his grit too.
I was hoping to see Maye week 5.
With the offensive line situation we might have to wait longer.
Playing him versus a ****ty Miami team gives him a fair chance however

Polk love his game already... to bad he has to suffer with Brissett
That was quite the near miss yesterday. With better OL and/or QB play I think he'd be ok. Hopefully this doesn't stunt his growth. Would much rather he grow with his future QB. Rather than protecting one and possibly hurting the other.

Drew, Favre, or Alex Smith aren't starting here. You really think telling Maye you're worse than Jacoby all year is a good thing for his confidence?

As badly as I want Maye to play, I do think all of the OL injuries right now make it kind of untenable short term... That said, if they can SOMEHOW get past this string of injuries and get Andrews, Lowe, Jordan and Wallace back healthy, they will be in a better spot to help a rookie QB who is still learning the game. Hopefully that is possible by the Houston or Jacksonville game, but we'll see. I also think they need to go sign at least 1 veteran OT.

JB is a large portion of the ****ING problem. AVP had called some quick passes, but JB has a tendency to hold the ball too long. The OL has had a ton of injuries and was not that good to begin with, but when they have give an adequate amount of time JB doesn't throw. The defense creeps up because they know they don't need to cover over 15 yards. in every game this year the 2ndaries are much close to the LOS in the 2nd half than the 1st half.

I was very much in the Mayo AVP boat, but continuing to roll JB is disgusting, so put Maye in or trade for someone or resign Zappe. But I am very much in the Fire Mayo if JB starts against Miami, or nothing is done to address the QB position. Sure, at the beginning of the year JB might have given them the best chance to win but I have realized you can't win with JB.

Edit: Mayo has to know they can't win the JB

That's weird.
I have watched the draft for probably 30 years and this is the 1st Drake Maye I remember. I have seen other Maye's and other Drake's but only 1 Drake Maye. lol.

I know what the person meant a QB like DM.

Agree. I'm looking at it like drakes guys will be polk, Baker, pop and FA # 1 next season... I don't understand why baker's been in the doghouse.

White has disappeared since his first two weeks this season. That's disappointing.

I liked Baker's confidence during the off-season, but his **** talking is not aging well. He can't even beat out the players the Pats are trotting out on the field. The dude is watching the game at home with us.

I would encourage patience on the oline. That is going to take several drafts to fix because we're not just talking starting linemen, we need to get much better at all of our backup linemen. That doesn't happen in one offseason. But I do agree, I wish they had done more there.
It’s going to take years to fix and may never get fixed if Wolf keeps signing stiffs.

He signed and relied on bad players, that’s not something that needs time to fix… it needed better decisions this offseason.

I don't think he losses confidence if he is taking 30% of the reps in practice and shows growth throughout the season. He may be frustrated because he thinks he can play better but I am fine taking the risk of him being frustrated opposed to potentially having a Mac Jones, Bryce Young or Zach Wilson on our hands.

He's been getting doubled.. uche is a disappointment... baker clearly is in the dog house for one reason or another.. D wise has been the only other player creating pressure.
