Who should win offensive rookie of the year

  • Alvin Kamara

  • Kareem Hunt

I voted Kamara. If I compare yards per touch I get 7.66 yards per touch for Kamara. For Hunt I get 5.23 yards per touch. In watching both players all year I find Kamara is far more explosive and dynamic player. Now, I am not saying Hunt sucks, he was outstanding. But Kamara is a once a generation talent I believe. He is electric like Barry Sanders and Michael Vick. He is going to be a monster if he remains healthy.

Two things boost kamaras yards per touch.

1) he doesn’t get all the touches. He shares with Ingram.
2) a large percentage of his touches comes from catching the ball which inflated that number

If you look at yards per carry it is 6.1 vs 4.9 in favor of Kamara. Still a large difference. Mostly because Kamara pulls off bigger plays because he is much more explosive, has better vision and instincts. Therefore he got my vote for rookie of the year.

Both Hunt and Kamara were Third Rounders too great value for their respective Teams.

I'd give awards to two Saints:

O: Kamara (just special already)
D: Lattimore (this guy is the next shutdown guy)

These two are huge reasons for that team's resurgence and the fact that their in the playoffs again. I definitely didn't have them making the playoffs at the beginning of the season.
