All of you idiots that advocated bringing this loser on the Pats should take turns kicking each other in the ass. That guys is an idiot.
Because we all knew he was still abusing substances upon his release.
His past was screaming that he would screw up again. There are certain types of players that are untouchables. i.e. Chris Henry and Pacman. You stay clear of those types. They will never get it. If a guy like Pacman doesn't turn it around, which I don't think he can, he will meet a violent end. That much is clear.
Odell Thurman is a waste of talent and sperm. If you can't make it with the Bungles who had no LBs last year, why the heck do I want him on my Patriots? He should never be allowed in the NFL again. Ever!!!
When he was released he hadn't been in trouble with "substance abuse" in over a year. Forgive us for considering someone who has had troubles in the past and who (at the time) looked to have been over it.
I don't want him on the Patriots now, but that's because he very obviously doesn't have his head on straight. Had he been clean, I don't see a problem with taking a player who has struggled with addiction - because sometimes people do clean up.
It's okay, though, for some people everything is black and white with ninety degree angles and proper labels... "waste of sperm" or not.

If you haven't already, actually read my original post on the matter. You'll see I was not trying to sugar coat anything. Hindsight is twenty/twenty so of course looking back now at what I said one can say it was wrong although I thought I explicitly said "as long as he is clean."Clonamery said:Shoulda, coulda, woulda.......Man, just admit you were wrong. It's not the end of the world. The guy was not clean coming out of college, had a very good rookie season, then hasn't played a down. Stop trying to sugar coat it.
So the part where the Bengals, who hold their players to no standards, decided he wasn't worth the trouble wasn't factored into him looking like he was over his past troubles?
I gotta call BS on this one, guy.He would come DIRT cheap and would be great in the inside linebacker position....one more quality ILB would give us IMMENSE depth.
To all those that would say no due to his past problems should remember that peer pressure can also make you an model citizen.
It was only a matter of time before a clueless someone made this clueless comparison. I'm surprised it took so long.I take it you two were opposed to Randy Moss because he had a history of creating trouble (a longer history than Thurman) and wasn't wanted on a terrible team?

It was reported everywhere that the Bengals released him because he missed voluntary workouts as a result of attending the funeral of his grandmother, the woman who raised him.
What part of that says he is a troublemaker?
Instead of calling me clueless why don't you explain why you think it is so?
