I give brown some credit in helping develop myers.. Myers was very fond of brown since he came to the team undrafted.

I thought it interesting that the Pats had Troy be the head coach for the shrine game. Clearly the coaching staff have faith in him and wanted him to get that experience.

The problem is you can't prove Troy Brown sucked in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

In 2022 they were ranked 25th in scoring, near top of the league in penalties and pre-snap penalties under Patricia.

Troy Brown was WR Coach in both cases, the blame lays squarely at the top with BB and Patricia.

He did a crap job coaching Thornton. Most of Thornton’s biggest issues last year were coachable things. He had poor sideline management. He would stop on routes and look for the ball when the situation calls for him to keep running. Yet, he kept doing them.

Thornton's biggest issue is he looks like a boy among men... literally. Physique isn't coachable. We'll see what he looks like with 20 added pounds of muscle but until then I'm sticking with he's too slim to compete with NFL DBs.

That's a misleading stat. How many of those TD's were scored by WR's? How many of them were rushing TD?

How many were FG's?

To me? It means that he's had a great offensive coordinator for the vast majority of his tenure and the WR position was still a major weak point. People want to say that it's all Patricia/Judge's fault when the problem at that position goes back many years.

There’s nothing misleading about going from one of the least penalized teams in the league to one of the worst. It shows a clear pattern of incompetence.

In 2021 as a rookie Mac Jones had the 8th best completion percentage in the NFL with a 93 QB Rating. McDaniels wasn’t going to accept lazy route running or poor execution either. It’s not coincidence it all fell apart once he left.

Simple question: Name a Troy Brown WR coaching success?

Meyers' ascension was well under way prior to Brown's involvement and was Cam Newton's #1 while Brown was RB coach.
Brown's 1 year with N'Keal Harry.....FAIL. Hindsight suggests Harry was beyond repair but the fact remains: Brown couldn't fix him.
Bourne took a half season to get up to speed under Brown but Bourne's attitude submarined him in '22. From a 2 year production stand point....FAIL
Agholor... 2 year disappointment....FAIL
Parker....Is anyone arguing it was Troy Brown who taught Parker to run straight down the sideline and leap for Mac floaters?

Maybe Brown deserves a pass given the BoBo infection that Bill brought onto his team.
Or maybe Brown is merely another Patriots sacred cow, and fanboys are simply blinded by sentimentality and hero worship.
