I don't think Brady's influence is to be discounted. If he can build it into a winner, he will. If he finds the league corruption and all the other BS cannot be brought to heel, he will sell his share and sit on some beach. I would 100% expect Johnson to be at the very least strongly considered. If Brady is involved in the interview, then he'll know if the guy is a OC only of if he's a true HC. If he's a true HC, he will be the next Raiders HC.

I dunno, much as i love brady hes pretty unproven as an exec at this level. Personally I would need to see alot more from vegas than i currently see for this job to be appealing

Who cares what happens to the Raiders, Jets, Jags, Saints or Bears - we got our guy!
I'm not overly valuing Vrabel to be amazing, or near the success of BB - but I have NO DOUBT the Pats will fare much better than those other 5 franchises over the next 3-5 years (at min).
Because, in all fairness - even if Mayo stayed - and they got a new solid DC, infused the team with more FA talent, and fixed the OL & DL - we would be improving the next year or two. Because Maye is the real deal.
I just believe it will happen quicker and more sustainable with Vrabel.
