Re-watched the game every player - every play (as far as interest went.. too far in any case, I know) so here some notes to share for those who care about our underdogs..
Part 1: OFFENSE
Needless to say but Jimmy is fun to watch in games. The fact that he can do that with 10 guys that will mostly not make the 53 let alone play in games against some starters on the other side (at the beginning at least) is really nice to see even in a vanilla game..

Lewis seemed to me somewhere between 2015 and 2016 version. I was surprised to see him out there that much carrying most snaps of 4 RBs.
Bolden looked quite lively, decisive and strong. Has better chance to make the team than most project at the moment. Its not so much that he looked the best RB out there on Thursday . he can be a serviceable backup: is a good blocker, reliable PP, can catch and still a core ST. So if he makes it I don't think they see him as only a core ST but also solid big back backup.
Foster and Daniels didn't show much to consider them for the team this yr. Foster looks a bit bigger but still seems caught between two positions excelling at neither. A good PS candidate and should clear waivers this year considering very deep RB draft (26 RBs drafted compared to 20 last yr and 21 on average).

Nothing new to say about Carr. Positive surprise was his game without the ball, feisty, engaged in blocking game, looked stronger, tougher then in college, great energy all-round.
Lucien looks a bit stronger but reports from practice and 1v1 clips were promising more than he showed in a game, somewhat similar to last yr. Most of all I didn't like his body language. f.e.: he was the only one not celebrating Carr's amazing TD and he was the closest to him.
Maye showed as advertised. I really liked his game, attitude, made the most of his snaps with or without the ball. Hope he sticks around. Great PS, spy option.
Washington virtually invisible.
@TE
Nothing new to say about Hollister. Looked tougher than I thought. Interesting thing to monitor will be how he and the coaches build up on Thu performance, will he see more ST snaps etc.
Cotton is a solid blocker (as advertised) & he looked better in routes and rec. than expected albeit against lower competition. Could be in play for PS, especially if others are “stolen“.
@OL
Karras was amazing. MVP in my book. Deserved his own thread here. Chatham called him “pocket cleaner“. At C he looked dominant every snap both in run and passing game. Looks like he can't be moved. I don't know about his IQ and leadership compared to Andrews but he looked like a starting C there. Very solid at both G positions as well. BTW - he played in the kicking game as well next to Grissom!
Croston was the most positive surprise of the night. By far second best OL player next to Karras. Very solid at RG not too bad at LT in the last Q. Played both T in college and showed the OL made in Iowa quality. If he can build up on that (and reportedly good practice) he could be a surprise candidate for 53 re his versatility to back up both G and both T positions esp. if the tackle backup struggles continue.
Douglas was up and down. Played mostly LG w some C in last Q. had some good moments but on the whole slight disappointment. Good PS option but times of PS should already be behind him..
Waddle and Fleming certainly didn't put the Qs of T position to rest. Waddle had one highlight reel play and showed some use of his long hands but many times looked painfully slow getting beaten by third stringers. Fleming was just a bit better overall but was overpowered on more occasions one would care to see in top swing T. Interestingly Waddle played some extra OL snaps on the left beside Fleming at LT.
Others didn't show much. Ferentz was regularly overpowered at C, McDermott looked lost and not ready most of the time, Rich and King didin't get many snaps; Rich who came in as T saw only RG snaps, King is not too bad and could be in play for PS depending on what happens to guys in front of him.

Some general OL thoughts: While Karras and Croston showing put my mind at peace regarding IOL ironically the T situation is worrisome. Fleming was very solid in the two games he played last year at both LT and RT so it is a surprise to see him struggling like that this TC and game. And i really don't like the idea of Waddle taking care of TB blind side. Troubles w Garcia are not helping the situation either and from 5 college tackles brought in this offseason the only one who showed he could help some at the position is Croston who is clearly a guard in Dante's book.
At the moment Id still go with Fleming as swing tackle, extra TE also because he is much better RT option than sluggish Waddle. If they keep both (and carry Garcia who might not be ready to contribute) it will be quite depressing outcome. If they carry 9OL bc of Garcia situation Id much rather see Croston over Waddle at the moment. Then again Croston could (hopefully) be stashed on PS.
