And I could do the same with NE's offense and note that 6 of their 8 opponents have had pass defenses not even in the top 20 of the league, the Cowboys secondary got shredded by Eli the Great, and the only good pass defense you guys faced, WASH, was missing two of it's top 3 CBs.
Which would be acceptable, if the numbers the Pats were putting up weren't so far above and beyond what anyone is doing this season. They didn't just increase their ppg by 3 or 4, or even 7 or 8. They are 8 ppg higher than the #2 offense in the league.
They held the #2 offense in the league, 5 points below their average.
The Chargers, 10 points below their average.
The Browns, #4 in the league btw, 10 points below their average.
As I pointed out, the offenses you are facing are exceeding or coming close to their offensive average production, save for the 2 teams mentioned previously without their starting qb's.
The Patriots are averaging more than double what 6 out of 7 of the Colts opponents are averaging. Only the Texans @ 22.4 aren't getting doubled up by the Patriots in terms of offense. Just a 19 ppg differential
So even if we meet our average which is what many of the Colts opponents have done, we'll put up 41.
Even if you guys average your offensive production against our defense, you would need to hold us to 9 less points than our average to squeak by.
We are hammering teams relative to what they are accomplishing against the rest of their schedule.
