Well, given that there is a fair amount of Chiefs fans in the group that would say Cassell's not a good QB, I'll have to disagree with your take here. It's not about throwing things at walls, or at least it's not for all of them. It's about a genuine belief that Cassell was a product of the system and isn't a good QB.

Yea, well. There are a fair amount of fans here that when the patriots lose want to trade any given player for any number of reasons. So, let’s try and be objective and use facts, as opposed to emotion.

Records of the teams Cassel beat in 2008:

2-14
9-7 (Jets, season split 1-1)
7-9
8-8
2-14
7-9
11-5 (Dolphins, season split 1-1)
4-12
5-11
9-7
7-9

Outside of the division, Cassel led the Patriots to victory against only 1 team with a record above .500.

Records of the teams Cassel beat in 20089:

4-12
5-11
9-7
8-8

Records of the teams Cassel beat in 2010:

9-7
5-11
6-10
8-8
4-12
5-11
7-9
4-12 (Denver, split season 1-1)
7-9
6-10

3 Seasons as a starter. 1 win against a team that finished with double digit victories, and that was a season series spit with a division rival. A total of 5 victories against teams with winning records, 4 of whom were 9-7, and 3 of them were in 2008 while he was with the Patriots.

Facts, not emotions.

The Manning situation really helps their argument. Why do so many have lesser opinions of Manning and Marino? Playoffs.

Take a look at Cassel's record against top teams, combine it with his one playoff game, and those people can base their argument in reason. I don't agree with them, but they can make fair points.

It makes their argument if they are comparing Manning to Cassell, not if they are comparing him to Brady, who has had tremendous play-off success.

so far i have yet to see "fair points" or any valid arguments but maybe someday one will come. I won't hold my breath.

They're there. I've made some on behalf of those who doubt Cassel. You being willfully blind about it doesn't change it.
