NFL Wild Card Playoff Scenarios Entering Week 17

Day's not yet done : but there is a pretty good chance the first playoff opponent NE faces will be super weak. Not just "playoff weak", just plain old weak.

Fingers crossed.

While I firmly believe that we can win against any team, I've seen too many heartbreaks in the playoffs to care about playing the best anymore. I just want to win. Bring on the rookies, the backups, the one-dimensionals; I just want another ring.

I am thinking Texans first, then if we win that, we'll see KC, KC will be a very very tough out...

I am thinking Oakland first--and then K.C. for the conf. championship.

That no ONE seed is looking so beautiful right now.

AFC is set

Wild Card Round:
#6 Dolphins at #3 Steelers
#5 Raiders at #4 Texans

Division Round:
Chiefs #2 (will probably play Pittsburgh in two weeks).
Patriots #1 (will most likely play Oakland or Houston).

NFC

Atlanta beats Saints to get a bye and #2 seed
Seattle (barely) beats SF to take #3 seed.
Washington is eliminated after losing to Giants.
Detroit and Green Bay are both in.

Wild Card Round:
#6 (loser of GB-Det) at #3 Seattle
#5 Giants at #4 (GB-Det winner)

Division Round:
Dallas vs lowest remaining seed (cannot be Seattle)
Atlanta vs highest remaining seed
