I had already said both prior to now, and I never discounted the Jaguars game. I believe he was also hurt in that one and obviously they were bad enough where that didn’t matter. Although as I’ve also said, swapping out a guy like Harry with someone who could get open like Wilkerson and free up other guys was also big.

But since I’m not going to win the picks or the predict the score contest, I’ll take the victory in this apparent “contest.” At least with 2022 coming to an end, I’ll finish feeling like somewhat of a winner.

Just not sure what injury you're referring to. Was he even on the injury report those 5 games coming out of the BYE?

Posters making comments about Mac's poor play since the end of 2022, after teams had enough film on him, doesn't make them haters. Mac was expected to be better this season, after all the work he put in during the offseason. Mac could've silenced these perceptions by for example doing something in the 4th QTR against MIN. Instead he sh*t the bed and did nothing. He's the only 2021 rookie QB that has regressed (aside from Wilson). The excuses aren't convincing when we see other QBs w/ poor OLs & coaches still make things happen. Nobody is happy about this but it is what it is.

To be fair, you’re also judging him the same way people judge 5yr veterans. If people gave up on QBs midway into their second seasons, a lot of decent guys would be out of the league.

I get it, you don’t like him and would prefer to see Zappe, and I wouldn’t rule it out long-term. Heck, I wouldn’t be shocked if Josh moved Carr after this season and went after Mac and the Patriots switched gears and went in Zappe’s direction, especially if there’s quietly friction in the building with Jones and they plan on keeping Patricia where he is.

But rather than make myself miserable, I try and focus on this week and what’s going on right now. Makes the season at least slightly more tolerable.
