Hey -- I was preoccupied at the time, but getting back to that catch by Meredith (I think) that ended the last Bears series:

That play showed me part of what makes Edelman so special. On a catch like that he knows where the DB is coming from, plants and turns in to both avoid the big hit and get the extra yards. By Edelman standards, eredith had a ton of time to make that move.

Who would have thought that Ted Ginn Jr. would finally become a legit WR? He used to run awful routes with bad hands, but seems to have improved upon both, more than I would have thought possible.

Newton is good. 4 TD passes already

Beaz wasted great field position and now look to give up halftime score to Donks.

Can someone on the bears cover vernon davis?

TD Cowboys....14-0 over the Fins

Beaz lucky to give up just a fg there.

Bears offense needs to get going in the second half

The Bears suck. I don't know how anyone was buying their recent winning streak as them getting it together.

I hope the Jets are enjoying giving Revis all that guaranteed money.

God damn it that 3rd and 8 Newton just converted reminds me of when we had him for the sack and he eluded us

I mean he completed all of his passes in the first quarter. All four of them.

Osweiler is slow making decisions and gets sacked while sorting out his receivers. The defense will tee off on this guy even though he's got a good offensive line. I like that he's doing well. There's no rush to get Manning back.

Osweiler has receivers for days but he doesn't get rid of the ball fast enough. The Broncos were OK with turning their OL into trash solely because of Peyton's quick release. If Osweiler can't replicate that then having 2 or 3 Pro Bowl caliber targets won't matter.

Halftime: Broncos 10, Bears 6

Chicago's pass receiving options are a list of trivia questions without Jeffery and Forte. Joshua Bellamy (2/43), Marquess Wilson (1/29), Marc Mariani (1/10), Cameron Meredith (1/6).

The two tight ends (Zach Miller and Martellus Bennett) haven't exactly distinguished themselves: only two catches out of six passes thrown their way.

The Bears are too dependent on their running game. By stopping Jeremy Langford (7 carries, 11 yards), Denver has killed the Chicago offense.

Three punts by each team in the first half... three field goals and only one touchdown. Uggh.

Unless Osweiller's first quick read is open, he is a sitting duck. Almost of all his passes have been in the 3-5 yard range. If he isn't looking for the short quick pass, he holds onto the ball for days.
