NFL Trade Deadline Rumors, including Bourne and Agholar

The Rams are so delusional they think the problem is the need for more weapons.

Let them borrow more cap space from the future for another weapon, they already have no draft picks... they're not going to be good for a long while and Sean McVay probably exits stage left.

Selling your soul for one ring is not a sustainable business practice in the NFL.
Might be the new NFL.

Wonder how much todays win will effect Bills decision to be buyers or not.

Some surprisingly reasonable takes from Peter King today, especially in the sense that these next two days are just as much about contracts as they are about trade compensation. He says Cooks and Tunsil’s 2023 salaries are impediments to a trade and that the Broncos and Panthers aren’t getting top value for Chubb and Burns unless they’ll agree to extensions.

It would depend on the price. I'm bad with NFL trade value but I'm not sure I would want the Pats to give up a first for him, even a second is boarder line.

Also any trade for Jeudy only makes sense if they trade two of their existing wideouts.

Forget Jerry Jeudy I hear that dude form the Steelers is available WR Chase Claypool. He would nice guy to replace Meyers he still have a year left on his Rookie contract.

The Rams desperately need a deep threat they love overpaying for players.
What does it mean to "overpay for players"? If you add the amount paid for players by the rams, it is about equal to most other teams.

I suppose one might measure overpaying by how well the team has done in the past 5 years. Surely, if they are doing well, they are getting their money's worth overall (paying too much for some, and gotten others at a bargain.

In the last 5 years, they have been in playoffs 4 of the 5, and in the Super Bowl twice, winning one. In the one season that they didn't make the playoffs, they had a winning record.

How many other teams have done as well in the past 5 years? IMO, the Rams have gotten their money's worth in paying for players.

Obviously, the Rams would have done even better if they could figure out how to beat SF.

I think the Steelers would want a first from Claypool. I'd rather see them draft a long term answer at offensive tackle with that spot. Claypool is awesome though. He's big, strong and fast with good hands.

a year and a half for a 1st is too much

I don’t know what to do when King and Breer both have reasonable takes in the same day. The Patriots have plenty of money next offseason. Who will they have interest in signing in March that they could instead trade for (and probably extend) now to help the team half a season sooner? The Colts are trending downward in the short term, and it’s questionable if they’d be able to bring back Okereke next offseason given all the big contracts on that roster, including Leonard right next to him. Now it’s not fun to trade a player to a team you play that week, but I don’t think it would be a big deal.

Edit: Forgot this piece. Perhaps most importantly, a trade would prevent the Pats from getting into a bidding war this offseason with the Bears, who will have the most cap room in the league and hired Okereke’s former DC as their HC.

I don’t really see the edge guys in play. Belichick has always been aware of how veteran contracts at the same position stack up, and I don’t think you can give an edge rusher $20M long term if you’re not willing to offer that to Judon at least in the short term. (Off the top of my head, Edelman, Chung, and Ninkovich all got raises in response to other signings.) I also think they like the “jumbo end” (Wise) in their 4-man line against all but the very fastest QBs.

The years of big, surprise trades for the Pats (in our favor) seem to have dried up quite a bit. I’m not expecting anyone of not being moved in or out. It would be great for excitement, talking points, building on the future. Just don’t see it happening. Oh, and I definitely agree with the pay situations.

A FIRST for Claypool? Lol. Based upon what? Certainly not consistent production since his rookie year. Thank God some of you aren’t running the Pats player personnel department.

It's shame we would just be fleecing them with what we currently have.
