Guilty. Off with her head.
You've been supporting some of your other claims better than this and this one is less whacky than most lol

I mean I think you're nuts and I tend not to agree with you're takes or even how you spin the info you dig up but usually you bring something to the table like your massive stats dumps of Zappe in college. Thats good stuff even if I disagree with you. So you be you.

Here are some massive stats dumps of Zappe in the NFL. The numbers speak for themselves. No spin required.

Why on earth would BB consider trading Meyers? The fan base would be extremely annoyed, and probably the owner too.
At some point BB needs to acknowledge that he's just looking to burn this franchise down before he leaves, because that's what it's seemed like the last few years. But why?

Meyers will be an UFA. Have you seen the franchise tag amount for WR's? Last I looked, it was about 18M/year.

Now, I love Meyers....but we aren't franchising him...therefore we only have 10 games left with Meyers (plus playoffs if we make it). I simply do not see us resigning him for less than ~13M AAV. And I might even suggest that to be a bit steep for Meyers who I consider a solid WR, but not a true game breaking elite WR.

By trading him now, we could possibly get a 2024 3rd or a 2023 4th...as we would get a 3rd rounder comp pick for him most likely in 2024.

I don’t think it would even be a third round comp pick. The lowest projected 3rd this year is Scherff’s $16.5M, and the cutoff will go up as more players sign big contracts.

(And of course, getting any comp pick at all requires not signing qualifying free agents to cancel out the departures.)

Jets game will determine who gets traded. Regardless, Harris should be traded as NE is not going to re-sign him. If you could get a 3rd for Myers now, you'd be a fool to not take that deal.

yep

and with the amount of cap Pats will have & holes in the roster & BB normally spending cap - i doubt they will play comp game next 2 seasons

I was thinking about this earlier - the Bills should be huge buyers right now. The whole NFL is seriously weak and the Bills already feel like a cut above everyone else. They could make a couple key mid-season acquisitions to take advantage of a weak field for this season.

Akers would be cheaper but then again after that Achilles injury I don’t think he’s better than what they currently have. Hunt would be a good addition for them.

If the price for Meyers is going to be north of 15 then I wish him well with whatever team he ends up with. Thornton’s a start but this team needs to get faster on offense. Especially if our goal is to open up the passing game.

It is smart to do so. It's forward thinking, which Patriots desperately need. I do not think we will get a 3rd round comp for him and even if we do that will be for 2024 draft. A 4th rounder now would be fair. Outside of the Pats organization he will be seen as a #2 receiver and will get compensated that way. Maybe in the 8-13 million range.....

Its game over if the Bills get Hunt.
Even if they get Hunt, it will come down to Chiefs and Bills and which team is healthier going into AFC championship. Either team could win. They are both in their own super tier because of the QB's. Patriots lucked out with Brady. It could be many years before the Pats get that kind of talent at QB again.

The Bills went 20 years between Jim Kelly and Josh Allen. Look at the Jets, over 20+ years and still do not have or have even sniffed a franchise altering QB. The Browns had to make a ridiculous trade and gamble on a sexual deviant QB and pay him250 million guaranteed. Its a lot of luck, being at the right draft position at the right time and smart scouting and player projection. Hoping that MAC was going to develop into that level of QB was always unrealistic.

Here we go Trade Meyers, trade Harris, trade Agholar. Trade Henry. Trade Wynn, Trade Judon, trade Peppers who has been a huge disappointment.
Hire Bill Obrein as assistant head coach.
Send Bill on vacation during the scouting process and the draft.
If Mac or Zappe is not the guy draft whoever has the biggest arm and is coachable to mold.
Elevate Hoyer to the coaching staff.

Playoff contention.

If Meyers will sign a reasonable extension they should push hard to re-sign him. He’s silky smooth route runner and great blocker in the slot. Bourne has moved behind Meyers IMO. Agholor should be traded ASAP, Thornton should get those snaps.

Beyond that Wynn is the only other guy who should be traded if Cajuste is healthy and playing well. Harris is in the Meyers boat, if he signs a reasonable extension make it happen, if not RB’s are replaceable. None of these potential trades is based off record, they were trade bait before the season began based on contracts.

We drafted 3 running backs in the past 2 drafts.
That speaks loudly to me they don’t want to pay Harris.
If we are looking at what’s best for the team long term you trade Harris for a third if you can get it this trade deadline.
Or a offensive lineman, linebacker or d line that you view as a long term piece.

Other than the Rams, who don't have a hell of a lot of picks, I don't see a fit for D. Harris. He ain't going to Buffalo, even though BB traded Bledsoe to them in the past. Chiefs, maybe.

Rams are in deep talks for Kareem Hunt from what I understand.
