NFL Trade Deadline Rumors, including Bourne and Agholar

Eagles are now 6-0 and there are very few teams on their schedule who have a shot at beating them..,maybe Giants, Packers, or Cowboys?

Because of their below average play and ridiculous contracts both Agholor and Wynn will be almost impossible to trade.

Yodney Cajuste was designated to return and practiced today starting the clock on when he must return to the 53.

LJ Humphrey is on the PS with one elevation left and serves a role in the offense and ST, so he needs to be promoted to the 53 at some point.

The Pats are $1.8 million under the cap which is not enough to make it to the end of the year or enough to absorb NLTBE bonuses at the end of the year.

Both Wynn and a receiver will be moved by next Tuesday. Which receiver, compensation in return, and how much salary the Pats have to eat for the traded players are really the only things to be determined.

I still can’t get over we gave up a second for Sanu.
That was miserable.
Yup same here and I got like <20 dislikes after I said it will go down as probably BB’s worst trade. Man o man the vitriol that day.

I remember reading the trade being enraged and thinking it better be a 6th or 7th and got legitimately sick when I read it was a second.

Patriots should absolutely be sellers at trade deadline and not trade away any draft picks.
The rebuild is going backwards. Team is worse this year than last year.

1. Agholor for 3rd rounder
2. Bourne for 4th rounder
3. Wynn for 5th rounder

Patriots can not have enough draft picks at this point. They will not be AFC championship contenders for at least 3 years.

We could certainly use Smith
There’s no way the Patriots are going to attempt to negotiate with him, and a trade isn’t worth it without an extension. The Bears did a lot of leaking about how awful their experience negotiating with Smith was, especially how he doesn’t have a certified agent and instead has a “business consultant” named Saint Omni who got in trouble for calling teams to try to get them to tamper with Smith.

What if the Pats traded Meyers and kept Bourne? If they don’t feel they’ll be able to retain him then they get compensation now and they get to solve the “get Bourne on the field” problem. Plus if that works out then Bourne is all set to be a starting WR for them in 2023 as well. Parker-Thornton-Bourne for half of 2022 and all of 2023.

A little bit a wild idea since obviously Bourne hasn’t done anything this season and Meyers has been their best WR by far for 2 years but… I can see it happening in a strange sort of way.

This is what I said before the season started.
Meyers for a second or a defensive starter I could see get done.

There is an unknown something between the staff and Bourne.

If not, Bourne shouldn't be on the trading block. He is a reasonable #3 receiver and has a reasonable contract for 2023.

Before the "incident", I thought that either Myers or Agholor would be traded, since neither is signed for 2023.

Yeah, I know there’s seemingly been some sort of situation there previously but (to me) it felt like they kind of got over, and were going to use him more but he got hurt early on two games back with turf toe and then was inactive last week due to that. So I can see a potential outcome where perhaps they are good with him being their #3 guy when healthy and we just don’t know it yet because of the injury.

Again, this is definitely not likely… just thinking out loud.

fair enough
However, for me, especially if he is injured, I would keep Bourne. Going into 2023 with Parker, Thornton and Bourne plus either Myers or Agholor works for me.

Robert Quinn to the Eagles for a 4th? T

Not going to happen. Apparently, Bourne made a fat joke in front of Patricia, and he wants him out.

I highly doubt Bourne is on the trading block. He is well liked in the locker room and picking things up slowly. Bourne will be here this year and next. Patriot type player on a value contract. A great find by BB.
