Yup same here and I got like <20 dislikes after I said it will go down as probably BB’s worst trade. Man o man the vitriol that day.I still can’t get over we gave up a second for Sanu.
That was miserable.
I remember reading the trade being enraged and thinking it better be a 6th or 7th and got legitimately sick when I read it was a second.Yup same here and I got like <20 dislikes after I said it will go down as probably BB’s worst trade. Man o man the vitriol that day.
There’s no way the Patriots are going to attempt to negotiate with him, and a trade isn’t worth it without an extension. The Bears did a lot of leaking about how awful their experience negotiating with Smith was, especially how he doesn’t have a certified agent and instead has a “business consultant” named Saint Omni who got in trouble for calling teams to try to get them to tamper with Smith. We could certainly use Smith
This is what I said before the season started. What if the Pats traded Meyers and kept Bourne? If they don’t feel they’ll be able to retain him then they get compensation now and they get to solve the “get Bourne on the field” problem. Plus if that works out then Bourne is all set to be a starting WR for them in 2023 as well. Parker-Thornton-Bourne for half of 2022 and all of 2023.
A little bit a wild idea since obviously Bourne hasn’t done anything this season and Meyers has been their best WR by far for 2 years but… I can see it happening in a strange sort of way.
There is an unknown something between the staff and Bourne. What if the Pats traded Meyers and kept Bourne? Yeah, I know there’s seemingly been some sort of situation there previously but (to me) it felt like they kind of got over, and were going to use him more but he got hurt early on two games back with turf toe and then was inactive last week due to that. So I can see a potential outcome where perhaps they are good with him being their #3 guy when healthy and we just don’t know it yet because of the injury. There is an unknown something between the staff and Bourne.
If not, Bourne shouldn't be on the trading block. He is a reasonable #3 receiver and has a reasonable contract for 2023.

Again, this is definitely not likely… just thinking out loud.
Not going to happen. Apparently, Bourne made a fat joke in front of Patricia, and he wants him out. What if the Pats traded Meyers and kept Bourne? Before the "incident", I thought that either Myers or Agholor would be traded, since neither is signed for 2023.
