"...in their past..." such as Stephon Gilmore?
Steph Gilmore as depth corner would be a pretty good get. He's lost a couple of steps, but he can still cover short-area with the best of them.

Truly one of my favorite all-time Patriots. And that poor guy took more ****ing libel and slander than just about anyone.

Personally, I think that we need that type of player. Vrabel does also or he wouldn't be getting so many reps.

Or could be the coach thinks he's all we got.... I'd rather see what Marty McPoo can do with more snaps...

We won't take on 3 big contracts on the defensive line.
Normally I wouldn't think so either BUT here is a chance to get and impact future HOF DT/DE for the bargain price of less than 17MM this year 20MM in 26, and 23MM in 27 and he is only 28 years old and might ask out of Nashville. He has 4.5 sacks already on a very bad team will little support. That is how good he is. You'll get to see him tomorrow. Parsons doesn't have that production for $47MM

How often do you get a chance to get a HOFer in his prime. Barmore is always going to carry some risk and its not like there is no room to give him a full load of snaps. 3 years from now when you are going to have to pay Maye, his contract runs out and he can be off your books.. if you want.

I'd like to give them my 2nd or a 3rd and Young, but I'd even go with my first. What are the odds we are going to get a future HOFer in the mid 20 to late 20's next April. Simmons is a sure thing.

He's a really good player, but you called him a HOFer 3 times in your post.
Little premature I would say.

Normally I wouldn't. but I've seen that title linked to him a couple of time and wanted to hammer a point, like I've done here on occasion here . But check out his number and see that 3-5 more years of them WOULD make him a legit candidate.

I've noticed a rotation of Ellis, Tavai, Gibbens.. the LBs of course Spillane as well have all played much better as of late.

The one at East Milton Square? Brady used to go there when he first joined the Pats and was living at Marina Bay... My sister got to know him on a first-name basis whenever they would bump into each other there...
The one in Brockton in the Westgate mall. He was shopping with his wife. Yes Brady took over ty laws place from him in marina bay Quincy. Friend of mines who's family owns some land over there in Quincy said they'd always see Brady and other patriots coming and going.

I mentioned signing Gilmore weeks ago, we luv that add and could move to Safety.

Who is Young?

"I'd pay a 3rd and Young to get him"
I asked the question about possibly Austin playing FS?

Tennessee has made it clear they won't talk about trading Simmons.

You don't get to just pick and choose the players that come available in the order that you deem the most important needs. You can only trade for guys other teams want to trade, sign guys who are FAs, or draft guys on the board.

The only two "starters" you mentioned are Safety and EDGE. Everything else you had above WR was depth, but in the meantime Hollins/Pop/Williams/Chism are combing for like 75% playing time as the 3rd WR in our offense and contributing nothing basically except for one deep shot to Douglas last game. I'd agree that needs at EDGE/Safety trounce that, but lacking a competent 3rd WR is more determinantal to the team than a 3rd TE or backup slot CB. 3rd WR is an actual starting position.

Assuming that what we saw from Douglas in New Orleans is what we are getting the rest of the way, the Pats have three starting WRs, Boutte, Diggs, and Pop. I don't think a 3rd WR is a big need. And Williams is getting open. Sometimes wide open. He just isn't on the same page Maye yet. If he gets this offense, he could be very good.

I think a third TE is far more important than you think. The Pats do not have a blocking TE. Neither Henry nor Hooper are good at it. It is hurting the Patriots' running game. I would rather the Pats pick up a blocking TE who can catch than a #3 WR. The Pats need to get the running game going and a blocking TE will be far more effective for that goal than a #3 WR.

BTW, the Patriots run a lot of 12 man personnel which has two TEs and only two WRs. According to AI, the Pats are in 12 man personnel 38% of the time and 11 man personnel (3 WRs) 48% of the time. So less than half the snaps on offense have three WRs. The #3 WR on the Patriots really isn't a starter.

I would only trade for a WR if they can get a legitimate #1 WR. Brown or Olave or someone else who comes up who we weren't expecting. The WR position right now is actually fairly good for the Patriots right now. Maye is second in the league in completion percentage. A lot of the advanced stats show that the Pats WR are above average in separation rate. Maye leads the league and throws over 20 yards. I mean there isn't much you can do to improve this unless you get someone elite or near elite.

I am thinking he is mentioning tonga. Rhymes with autocorrect a bit

I had assumed he was talking about Keion. Tonga is doing too well to be talking about trading him IMO.
