NFL quarterbacks complaining about breast cancer awareness footballs

how long do we have to endure this clown ?

I believe he just received an extension, so for a while, unfortunately. Personally, I wish they had just dumped him before the current negotiations get going. For some reason, however, the owners think he's doing a good job. *shrug*

BTW, I believe that Prostate Cancer doesn't get the same "awareness" because it was only officially given it's own Awareness Month this year. It will be interesting to see if they do anything next September, though. If not, maybe they can be sued for discrimination... *LOL*

This is one reason I'm critical of Kraft.

Thank you sir! May I have another?

This is how I feel too.

Leave alone the things that may affect the product on the field. I am all for creating awareness for Breast Cancer, the marketing machine behind it however has gotten to a point where it is like other special interest groups. If you mention anything at all that may in the very least slight it, people are all up in arms and freaking out about it.

It is unfortunate prostate cancer does not get the same attention.

Take the Pink Ribbon off the ball. However the gloves and shoes seem fine to me. And leave the guilt trip alone. We are all aware of the killer disease it is, like other diseases that some of us support (but you don't see us pushing it in people's faces). Everyone has their cause they support.

Much love and respect for all of those daughters, sisters, mothers and grandmothers out there fighting this terrible disease.

...back to football...

+1

exactly, change what doesnt matter, leave all else alone

Personally I think that the NFL should emboss a picture of Brett Favre's **** on footballs to promote Prostrate Cancer awareness.

Can't do that.

Throughout the game, they would expand and contract depending on whether they're being held, etc.

So Tom has to play with these crappy footballs this week?! We need all the help we can get against the best team in the league! Why a whole month? How bout just one weekend? Do other charities get an entire month? Can Tom request standard footballs?

I love the gloves, I think they look really cool on a WR.

But I do think the pink and ribbons should all be voluntary but encouraged. It sort of defeats the purpose of supporting charity it when it isn't. If they don't like the football, they shouldn't use it.

Well if they're based on Favre I think it would be the permanently flaccid edition.

honestly who the hell notices that anyway. Put a logo on the field and keep giving the players pink gloves, towels, and cleats, we get the message.
