I would love to know if in fact what Pete said to the official on the sidelines was "I am not calling time out" misconstrued by the official to be "time out".

It would be so ironic if Pete just could not keep his big mouth shut and ended up having an impact on the FG and the eventual outcome. Pete, you don't have to tell the official if you are not calling time out. Just don't call it!
