When did we ever have as high as pick #7? And if we had traded up for him while Brady was here, the fans would have burned Nantucket off the map.

I meant that in regard to Bill letting Brady walk. He should have known that he didn't have anyone to replace him and how special he was. Did he really think that he could win without him?

But yes, once Brady showed what he had the fans would have revolted if they knew that the Pats were going to let him go and leave us with no QB at all. Sadly, that's where we are now.

Reminds me of when Red traded down from #1 to #3 to get Robert Parish and then used the #3 pick to get McHale. I don't remember if Red bragged about it later or not but he probably wanted McHale more than Joe Barry Carrol anyway.

I'm glad that the NYFL is going after those type of hits. It's become clear to me that players are now trying to injure other players, not just get them to the ground. Most players who get tackled are hit 2 or 3 more times after they're already on the ground. I haven't played football since I was a teenager, but one thing I remember about it is that I was in total control of where I hit other players. I'm sure that pro athletes are able to do it too.

I understand and mostly agree. My point is we’ve never been close to having the 7th pick, even when we picked Mac. There’s a reason bad teams turn things around with high picks. The question is if there’s a Josh Allen or better in this year’s draft because we’re finally going to have a high enough pick to get him.

The problem for Pierce is that Jack has no more maturity or wisdom since he first met Jones. Pierce’s coaching and influence in high school did t exactly put the entitled punk on the right path.
