We seem to have an easier time against their division than ours the last 5 years.

We have a better record against the AFCW than we do the AFCE.
The afce changed a lot and I was refering to ring6 Statement to look at the records from the raiders and the pats but it’s hard to compare it and just say oh we have a better record so we are the better win

Why? Because some players are suddenly being paid more, they’re don’t magically become greater players.

People see one or two shiny objects going to a team and think that equals invincibility.

Pats handled the Chargers pretty easily last year, for example. Chargers have improved on paper, no doubt, but that doesn’t make them suddenly a super team.

Also, if the Pats don’t improve this year, I’ll be surprised, and we might need to start looking for another QB.

I don’t expect that. Jones is a hard worker, driven and smart. The game isn’t too big for him.

i like how we were in the playoffs exactly 1 year after Brady left with a rookie who put together a stellar campaign and all these buffoons are in here acting like the Pats are going to be terrible for the next 10 years.
I don't think anyone is saying that but the Bills playoff game put a spotlight on all the glaring needs this team has right now. It's an unfinished product as rebuilding teams usually are.

You look to see acquisitions and you expect the chargers NOT to improve, and you expect the patriots to improve? How about Miami?

You are only Talking about the Offense. Also I wouldn’t expect such a jump from the offense with complete new coordinators for Jones if judge calls plays. McD isn’t easily replaced and chemistry is important there.
Our defense needs to step up if we want to improve overall because I don’t expect our offense to carry them

The Patriots lost their OC and don't have one right now nor a QB coach. We will learn more about Mac but a regression wouldn't surprise me that much.

The Pats second level fell apart at the end of the year. HT and Collins ran out of gas, and Van Noy started trying to do too much, it seemed.

And the third level was hampered by injuries when it mattered. JC hurt his elbow in the same game he dropped an easy ick that would have given them a chance against Buffalo. J Jones was gone, of course. Dugger got hurt and was playing hurt, Mills was a big loss in the playoff game, and McCourty played too many snaps and wore down.

Also, that LB corp was simply too slow. That's not going to be the case this year. The DL was inconsistent and missing at least one piece.

Yes, they need to be better. Losing JC hurts, but having a light and fast second line of good tacklers matters a lot now.

I like McDaniels more than most here, but his job last year seemed to be all about holding Mac's Bridle.

And we have a very special message board, the only one with lots of folks that think that our Offense and OC was terrible last year..

The Patriots have their work cut out for them and its starts with the 2022 Draft. We NEED hit on three Defensive Players form this Draft ie... LB - DT - CB. Plus they have some second and third year players who need to show what they got.

Yeah they brought Mac along slowly last year he was handcuffed some understandingly. That said this year release the kraken!

We do indeed. I don't think McD was terrible at all - and I agree with holding Mac in check. The offense has the talent to be a lot better, though, as the new pieces aren't new anymore and the game slows down for Mac.

I don't think the O will be a lot different this year in terms of scheme, but I expect more throws beyond 15-20 yards.

Fortunately, the draft is deep at LB and CB/S.

DT...not sure where they go there. If they can't get Davis or Jones, I hope they sign Hicks (and Flowers).

I hope they hit on a WR

And you'd be happy if that were to occur...we know.

Mac went through many OCs in college. He'll be fine.

I dont think the team is that far off. BB has completely rebuilt teams in a single offseason before.

Getting faster at LB and Safety will be huge for what happened with the Bills. I think BB wasn't ready for that level of speed. He's not going to get caught flat footed two years in a row

Miami could easily go backwards. New coach... etc.
