It's easy, and only takes a few moments. The parody related to SF is that even after giving up 5 draft picks for Hill, MIA still has 2 #1s in 2023 thanks to SF overpaying for Lance, yet here they are.I wouldn't rule out San Fran with all their talent...it's amazing how big of a gap there is between the top 2 or 3 teams in the NFC and everyone else.....no more parody I guess
MIA already has BridgewaterAnother spot for Baker could be the dolphins to compete with Tua, Philly to compete with Hurts, Atlanta to compete with Mariotta,
I could see him going to New Orleans to compete with Winston.
Holy crap what about TB to learn behind Brady.
What better place for Mayfield than TB.
If I was him that’s where I would gamble with my career.
Why? Isn't his RFA tender like $2.4M?I mentioned the other day Chicago was planning of offering him significant money.
I’m curious to see what it rings out at.
I have him as a 6 mill guy I’m guessing Chi goes 4 years 37 mill something like that.
Why? Isn't his RFA tender like $2.4M?
Agree, but triple?Yes, but if they sign him to an offer sheet that's too low, the Bills will just match it. I don't know how much he'll get but I'm guessing more than 2.4 per.
Agree, but triple?
Was thinking the same thing about Baker I think San Fran might have to eat Jimmy and his contract. Even though Jimmy does win when he plays he's made of glass and can't make all the throws and is especially erratic under pressure.MIA already has Bridgewater
NO has Hill
TB can get Gabbert back for way cheaper.
I don't see where Baker fits. He may have to wait for a QB injury.
This is probably just me, but I’d rather draft a starting caliber guard in the 4th or so and have him compete with Desjarlais for that G spot than sign Bares to a bigger contract.
“Spending big could jeopardize the Patriots’ compensatory pick formula; cornerback J.C. Jackson and offensive lineman Ted Karras scoring big deals elsewhere can help the team secure a third-round pick or a combination of midround picks, for example.”
They haven't been shy about canceling out 6ths and 7ths over the years. Any addition at the 4th round level or lower (somewhere in the $14-15M range, depending on snap count) would cancel downward to Karras' 6th while preserving Jackson's 3rd, assuming Jackson doesn't get hurt and have a super low snap count.I hope this isn't the case.
Here’s why New England has been so hesitant to make a splash. From ESPN:
9 teams now w/o a 1st Rd pick.
