NFL Draft Talk

I think Campbell will be good at LT, but below is a clip against Landon Jackson that is see fairly often on his tape and find it concerning. I also think he is susceptible to inside crashes to the inside.

I realize all OTs are going to have losses, but it seems like Campbell has more than a top 5 pick should have

This is my hope for pick 4

I think every tackle is going to struggle against good pass rushers. It’s not exactly an easy job. The question is whether they allow the pressures and the sacks, and Campbell didn’t break under pressure and allow those pressures and sacks. Last season he only allowed 18 pressures in 13 games. That’s less than 1.5 a game, which is great, especially in the SEC. I’ll be very happy if they end up with him. I think he’s going to be a really good player.

Probably coming to this football team on the 24th

Not super excited about it

Both Jaylen Hurts and Saquon Barkley squatted 600 in college. For a person his size its very good but not incredible

I'd like to see the Pats trade for this guy, an actual top 10-15 NFL left tackle. Not for the #4 straight up of course, but perhaps a swap of #4 and something else on the side for their #6. That way the Raiders can get first crack at the OT of their choice to replace Miller, who they may not want to pay for whatever reason. We could certainly pay him, and then use the first round pick on another position, or maybe double down and take Membou if he's there. Just some ideas.

People talk about how strong both of their legs are.
WGAS.

I agree, I used the clip for the wink because he is coming here on the 24th. At least I think that is what happens but I hope its a different player.

Like I said I think he will good LT and I think he will be a great locker room guy, I personally would prefer Mason Graham. I think Mason is a blue chip player, but Campbell fulfills a bigger need. I have accepted that Will will be the pick and I am working my way to become a bigger fan of his. I also do not think he is a plug and play LG like a bunch of mediots do.

If he gets drafted, and I’m ok with it, I just don’t want people on this board to root against him just because they don’t like him as a player. And then if he allows a strip sack in the first 3 games…..forget about it

Maye would just be handing off. Looks like Jeanty won't need an Elite OL to Block for him: look like he can create his own holes.
Watch qtrs 1,2 and 3 of the Penn State Playoff game
He couldn’t do ****
Fumbled twice
I know it’s one game. But it was against a good team and biggest stage of his career

They had three visits with Conerly, so there's something to them taking a long look. Personally, I think if they don't go OT at #4, then they will be taking Ozzy Trapilo earlier than the draftniks say he's going. I think they could parlay one fo those R3 picks to get back into r2 for him.
Unless they trade for a LT then there is no question they will draft a LT with one of the first 2 picks. So I don’t doubt they will draft Trapilo even if they trade down a little in the second.

I hear that, I mentioned in another post that I am working to become a bigger fan of his. Its not that I dislike him as a prospect there are just other at pick 4 I prefer. Campbell will be a good LT and a good locker room guy.

I also hope that there is patience among the fan base. I also would like to see more patience with Wallace, Polk and Baker

Think Graham would be a fine pick at 4

Everything depends upon how the board falls on draft night, but if they go with Campbell at #4, and Golden and Egbuka are off the board I could see them double dipping and taking Donovan aJackson with their 2nd pick, then pairing their 3rd rounders to move up for a guy like Jayden Higgins.

This is actually pre-draft smokescreen stuff. The real deal.
It's not even a smoke screen it doesn't have any information coming from the Patriots,
He actually bolded the IF in the original article, complete speculation based on "They point to offseason desires to trade for Maxx Crosby or Myles Garrett.”

Pats need OT, Edge, wr, they don't seem to think a wr is worthy of the pick so if they don't think a tackle is then they'd look edge. I think we all agree with that and that's what that says.

I think they are going Campbell at #4. I doubt they'll get back into R1 unless they want to part with the R1 from 2026.
I agree, it’ll be Campbell at 4, UNLESS Hunter or Carter fall to 4, which I don’t see happening. Grab the best WR at 38 or move up if possible. It may take 38 and a 3rd, I don’t think it would cost a 1st in 2026.

I’m a fan. This kid started from day one as a 18 year old at LSU, and he faced the best pass rushers in the country the past three years and only allowed 4 sacks. He was team captain, and was calling offensive line adjustments from left tackle, which is rare. He’s been the consensus #1tackle since the college football season started, and he’s still rated as the top tackle on most boards. The Patriots have a major need at left tackle and Campbell would come in, start from day one, and fix their most glaring need. I honestly don’t see what there is to not like about Campbell.
Played all 38 games too. The best ability is availability.

Sure, we could pick the top WR on our board at 38, or near 38 with a trade up or down. That strategy worked so well last tear.

As was the case last year, there may be several defensive players who are the BPA. Of course, we don't have any need for an EDGE player or a DL, so perhaps we will again exclude those positions and draft a WR. Don't get me wrong, there will be many good prospects at WR available.
