So half time thoughts.
This game has been ALL about the Texans. Not to take anything away from what the Ravens has done. But this game one way or another has been about the Texans and how they play. When they execute they tend to get what they want, make splash plays and put themselves in good situations. When they make penalties, bad coaching, blown blocking assignments, bad play calls/awareness and drop balls the Ravens have been there to take advantage. But make no mistake, the Texans have been the mover this game of both the good and the bad for over 80% of it.
Will that continue into the second half? I have no idea. But if it does the Texans have no excuse. They have time to clean up, make adjustments and get right. As I thought the Ravens pass catching weapons have been contained mostly. They have been able to hit WRs with the Raven's weaken back field (and TEs). And while it hasn't been easy they have been able to execute what they want for the most part when they get things in order without the Ravens having much of a say outside of the pressure they can generate, even when they don't get free rushers. And sometimes those plays turn into things CJ breaks and makes big plays on anyway.
On the whole while some may say the Texans are lucky to be tied due to that return TD, the same is true for Baltimore that the Texans have shot themselves in the foot so many times. Lamar has not been impressive and his big plays have been his runs, which were massive break downs and his TD to Agholor was wide open. Overall I think he is in playoff form and his cast on offense isn't good enough to bail him out for them to score too much in this half either. The Texans need to take advantage. I don't see the Ravens playing much better than they did the first half (though they can improve a bit). This is what their current talent on the field can produce. Texans have this if they execute. IF they don't fix things soon... well I don't think they will get another free 7 points.
