I didn’t say anything about BB and developing coaches. You did. I am simply looking at Pats DCs or OCs who’ve become HCs. To date, none has been very successful.

O'B is def one. No there aren't many but with all the variables that go into "success" I don't get your point.

It depends on how injured he was playing, but he's made quite a few awful decisions this year. I've seen him throw into double and triple coverage right in front of his face on multiple occasions. He's extremely suspect when kept in the pocket.

No idea abt the extent of the injury but he's clearly not himself.

That offense is outdated, has no identity & is predictable to say the least. It's embarrassing.

Get Marcus his Mcvay and focus on Defense from here out in terms on the draft/fa.

The Texans went 4-12, after three straight 9-7 seasons. Now, the Texans had numerous injuries and BO'b may still develop into a great coach, but two playoff appearances is basically what Kubiak did with less talent. It's too early to tell. We'll see.

My point it that the coaches who have left seem to me to be people who have reached their level of competence at the DC/OC level. Then again you do have a valid point when you say there are many variables that go into success.

No. The Kubiak 2012 HOU teams were very talented. Schaub, Foster, Johnson and Daniels were all ProBowlers in 2012. Watt was DPOY and they had a decent defense overall.

Marvin Lewis is staying with the Bengals

NEWS: #Bengals sign Head Coach Marvin Lewis to a two-year contract, running through the 2019 season.

This will impact how potential coaches feel about the Cardinals:

Carson Palmer retired.

And the new HC of Cincinnati replacing Marvin Lewis is.........

Marvin Lewis.

This means more Andy Dalton, which means A.J. Green will be useless in fantasy (and on the field).

Marvin Lewis is a ****roach.

I like Lewis over Tomlin.
I think he's a better person I get that vine from him.

Every time a minority is being requested to interview for the HC position I get the idea that said franchise doesn't give a **** about said coach and is just satisfying the rooney rule. The rooney rule is totally backwards! What a crock of ****!

If the 32 corrupt owners really gave a **** about diversity they would find a way to enforce the rooney rule at the high school level, at the college level, and at every position level in pro football except the head coach level. We all know the tremendous political power they have to influence things if they want to.

Another thing I start to wonder about the Rooney rule, if it's enforced how it is , there must be a great deal of racists biggots among the corrupt 32.

This **** is completely backwards. It's disgraceful!

They made that Amazon Prime video special last summer after going to the NFCCG, and then were pumped up as hell out there in AZ.

It’s almost like they just never recovered from our opening season victory with Garoppolo.
Yeah. I have friends in Phoenix who had Cardinals Season Tix. They had the opener in the W column last year and were planning to make the relatively short trip to Houston for the SB. They got rid of their tickets after last season.

you know what gets me, why would the Texans fire or consider firing Obrien to begin with? The texans looked like a pretty good team with Deshaun Watson.

When you lose your starting QB, backup QB and entire defense your team is going to struggle and lose games...

this is the main problem with the NFL. teams are too trigger happy with coaches. they need to give them time to build a culture and players that fit that culture. Imagine if the pats fired Belichick before brady because they didnt win right away?

It hurts the players too, because you have guys having to learn a different offense/scheme every single year rather than growing into the scheme the coach developed.
this was never about "the texans" firing or considering firing BO'B. this was about an irreconcilable conflict between the Coach and the GM.

No, they considered firing him.

I'm gonna be one of those rare people who is hoping that one of our coordinators does head towards greener pastures. I feel that its about time we get some fresh faces calling the plays and hopefully bringing a new aspect that perhaps make our offense more explosive, or change up the defensive scheme a bit.

As long as TB12 wants to see Josh's "old face," I'm just fine with that.

The only year they had a truly "explosive" offense in the BB TB era was 2007. It was a lot of fun, I admit, but Brady's idea of explosive usually seems to be the occasional heave down field to Cooks or Hogan with a lot of White and Lewis and his faves Amendola, Jules (sorely missed) and Gronk. Works for him. Works for me.

As for changing up the defensive scheme, BB already has multiple Game Plans in Canton. Patricia is with the program. I'm good.
