As we all know teams lose key players to free agency, trades, injuries and sometimes bring on draft busts :cough: jests :cough: .

For the sake of discussion lets say the teams retain most of their players - In that case the NFC will be the toughest conference that the NFL has seen in years. Here are the NFC teams that are capable of winning the SB let alone qualify for the playoffs from the NFC

SEATTLE - Strength = D
SIXTY WHINERS - D
PACKERS - O
ARIZONA - D
CAROLINA - O and D
SAINTS - O and D
ATLANTA - O and D
EAGLES - O

And on the other side the AFC embarrassingly enough has only a few good teams.Lets assume the Pats get all the injured players back to their pre injury form

PATS - O
COLTS - O
DONKEYS - O
TEXANS - D

Other than these 4 is there any other team in your opinion which can stand upto any of the above mentioned NFC teams? With Brady and Manning nearing the end of their careers and Big Ben not playing to his full potential I feel the NFC is going to rule the NFL for a loooooooooooooooooooooong time. :bricks::bricks::bricks::bricks::bricks::bricks:

I hope belichick takes a hard look at the seahawks and builds his sister accordingly. All this talk about getting brady weapons is secondary in importance to rebuilding the D.

Two years is an eternity in football. The NFC West is flying right now with good QBs on rookie deals.

Seattle has more than a dozen free agents this year, but only a couple of notable ones (Golden Tate, Baldwin, Bennett, 2 O-linemen). They're going to have a much harder time after next year when Sherman and half their defense (including Avril and Thomas), AND Wilson's going to want to get paid.

San Francisco's bay window is also closing, as CK is looking for $20 million a year now. They're going to have to pay that monstrous O-line huge dollars in short order. And we'll see if Bowman comes back strong after that horrific knee rip.

Denver laid an egg. GREAT Seattle didn't hike the ball over Manning's head to open the game. Seattle is really good (not as good as last night made them look), as is San Francisco. The Saints are okay outside the dome. The Packers are as flawed as any AFC team. The Panthers escaped major injury this year and the battered Pats still had them beat in a spotlight game on their home field. If Atlanta and Philly scare you, well...

NFC won 34 of 64 against the AFC this year. Shrug.

Pete Carroll's worked some magic in Seattle, for sure. He's built a great organization and hit on some HUGE draft picks...and how many Seahawks' players got hit with PEDs last year?
